AAA - Buffalo Bisons (37-34)_______________________________________

NORFOLK 7, BUFFALO 5 (Box)

Colin McHugh had a rough first start in AAA, he really struggled to find the strike zone in this one. The Herd still had a decent game despite his poor showing though, as Matt Den Dekker and Fred Lewis provided solid nights at the plate. Ronny Cedeno got yet another rehab start under his belt, it doesn't look like it will be long now.

AA - Binghamton Mets (31-34)_____________________________________

    No game

Hi-A St. Lucie Mets (48-18)________________________________________

BRADENTON 6, ST. LUCIE 5 (Box)

We had two rehabbing Mets in this one, Ruben Tejada chimed in with a double while Ramon Ramirez looked very hitable. Francisco Pena had a great night at the plate for the Mets as they extended their losing streak to 3 games.

Lo-A Savannah Sand Gnats (41-26)__________________________________

No game

Short Season-A Brooklyn Cyclones (1-0)__________________________________

BROOKLYN 2, STATEN ISLAND 0 (Box)

Opening night for the Cyclones is always fun, and it's even better when they beat they hated Staten Island Yankees. Brandon Nimmo and Phillip Evans were the guys most of us wanted to see, but pitching was the story of the night for the clones. The game was pretty uneventful offensively until the Cyclones broke through with a pair in the 8th, Nimmo and Evans scored the 2 Brooklyn runs, trotting home on a bases loaded walk followed by a sac fly from Cole Frenzel. Looks like it's going to be a fun season in Brooklyn.

Star of the Night

Matt Den Dekker had a fantastic night at the plate with a homer and a double. Stars for Den Dekker!

Goat of the Night

Brandon Nimmo went hitless. Bust. Have some horns.
