AAA - Buffalo Bisons (35-27)_______________________________________

COLUMBUS 9, BUFFALO 1 (Box)

Oh hey, that score looks familiar. Most of the damage was done after Matt Harvey was lifted from the game, but the Mets top prospect had issues as well. He threw 90 pitches in 4+ innings, which is not what you might call economical. Edgar Ramirez and Jeff Stevens helped put this one well out of reach, surrendering six runs in 2 2/3 innings out of the pen. Not that it mattered all that much, since all Buffalo could muster was an RBI double from Corey Wimberly. Well, there is always tomorrow.

• 1B Josh Satin: Cleared waivers, headed back to Buffalo, but he'll always be on the 40-man roster in our hearts.
• 2B Brad Emaus: 1-4, K
• RHP Matt Harvey: L, 4 IP, 3 ER, 7 H, 2 BB, 3 K, 1 HR; For those keeping score at home, that's a 61:31 K:BB ratio in 63.1 AAA innings. Not quite ready yet.
• LHP Josh Edgin: 1 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 1 BB, 1 K

AA - Binghamton Mets (28-29)_____________________________________

BINGHAMTON 9, TRENTON 7 (Box)

Binghamton jumped out fast in the first with a 3-run home run off the bat of Jefry Marte, his fifth of the year. They continued to pour it on and Gonzalez Germen left with a 9-2 lead after seven. No problem, right? Perhaps, sir, you are not familiar with the Binghamton pen. Newly promoted Ryan Fraser surrendered 4 runs in 2/3 of an inning, and Rob Carson made it even more exciting by bringing the tying run to the plate in the ninth with no outs, but in the end he muddled through and picked up his third save of the year. Oh, and Matt Den Dekker had a pretty good night. If he keeps this up, at some point I will need to get confirmation if it's den Dekker or Den Dekker.

• LF Juan Lagares: 1-5, RBI, SB (8)
• CF Matt Den Dekker: 5-5, 2 2B, 3 R, RBI; Tough to strike out when you go 5-5. Oh, and that is 20 doubles for Den Dekker in 2012.
• 3B Jefry Marte: 3-4, HR (5), 2 R, 4 RBI, BB; Not even star of his own team.
• 2B Reese Havens: 1-5, 2 R, BB, 2 K;
• C Juan Centeno: 0-4, BB, K
• RHP Gonzalez Germen: W, 7 IP, 2 ER, 5 H, 0 BB, 6 K, 1 HR, HB; 35 K against 8 BB in 34 AA innings. Still can't figure out if he's a prospect or not. A month younger than Gorski, FWIW.
• LHP Robert Carson: SV, 1.1 IP, 1 ER, 2 H, 1 BB, 2 K, WP

Hi-A St. Lucie Mets (46-14)________________________________________

Apparently it rains in Florida. The St. Lucie/Clearwater tilt was rained out and will not be made up.

Lo-A Savannah Sand Gnats (35-25)__________________________________

CHARLESTON 5, SAVANNAH 1 (Box)

In the fifth inning of this one I was just about to tweet something along the lines of "Jacob DeGrom has very little left to prove in Savannah, 4+ innings of shutout ball against a tough Charleston line-up." Of course, before I could finish that tweet, he gave up a three-run home run to Cito Culver. That's how it goes. Another home run in the sixth chased DeGrom from the game. #BlameRecapper. The Savannah offense did very little of note.

• C Cam Maron: 1-4, 2B; Albert Cordero was likely the consensus best catching prospect in the Mets system coming into this season. He's gotten 110 ABs this year, Maron, 144. Very weird.
• 3B Aderlin Rodriguez: 2-4, 2B, E (12); Well, technically I think he is on pace for fewer errors this year.
• CF Travis Taijeron: 1-4, R, K
• RHP Jacob DeGrom: L, 5 ER, 8 H, 0 BB, 5 K, 2 HR; You know outside of the home runs...
