Star of the Night

As much as I want to reward a stellar 14-strikeout performance from Montero, Zach Lutz and his two homers -- including the game winner in the 11th -- trumped him last night. As much attention as the Hairston non-trade is getting, one aspect that no one has mentioned is the at-bats that would have been opened up for the 26-yr old Lutz -- who's batting .382 with an 1.100 OPS against lefties -- to really get a shot down the stretch with the big club.

Goat of the Night

Robert Carson and his infinite ERA earned the horns last night.
