Freed from the asphyxiating confines of CitiField, the Mets jumped out to an early lead, scoring two runs in the first on an Ike Davis RBI groundout and a Lucas Duda double. A two-run bomb from Daniel Murphy in the second expanded the Mets' lead to 4-0.

The Brewers got two back off of Jonathan Niese in the bottom of the second, but Niese was able to limit the damage there and hurl six decent innings. In the top of the sixth, the Mets tacked on with a Lucas Duda solo homer and a Josh Thole RBI double, while some defensive miscues by Milwaukee allowed another run to score. That was all for the Mets offense for the night, but it was more enough to secure the margin of victory.

Full recap to come.
