With his strikeout of Domonic Brown in the top of the second inning — his third of the game — R.A. Dickey became the tenth pitcher in Mets history to strike out 200 batters in a single season. His is the first 200-strikeout season for the Mets since Johan Santana achieved the feat in 2008.

Dickey's season has been fantastic, of course, and he joins the following elite list of Mets pitchers who have struck out 200 opponents in at least one season.

Pitcher # 200 K Yrs.
Tom Seaver 9
Jon Matlack 1
Jerry Koosman 1
Dwight Gooden 4
Sid Fernandez 1
David Cone 4
Al Leiter 1
Pedro Martinez 1
Johan Santana 1

Dickey doesn't have a shot at breaking the Mets' record for strikeouts since Tom Seaver holds it with 289 in 1971. He does, however, have a shot at cracking the top ten as David Cone sits tenth on the list with 233 strikeouts.
