David Wright Throws A Lawn Dart

With runners on first and second, one run in, and none out in the top of the second, Kris Medlen came up for the Braves in a bunting situation. His bunt went nowhere, and Josh Thole scooped it up and fired to David Wright at third for the first out of the inning. Wright promptly stepped off the bag and made like he was going to fire the ball to first for a double play, but instead he fired the ball into the ground. I couldn't tell if he simply thought better of the throw to first or didn't have a good grip on the baseball, but the play was reminiscent of so many Raul Ibanez lawn darts.

Here's Wright's version of the lawn dart.
