So it's come to this, eh? Brian Wilson and Sandy Alderson continue their weird mating dance as we all remember how bereft of actual news the month before pitchers and catchers report. The Daily News can't even come up with a good headline for the story. Come on, NYDN, it's the one thing you are actually good for.

Yesterday at AA

Brock Mahan and This Date in Mets History celebrated Kevin Mitchell's birthday. Somewhere in my parents' basement I have the hologram Topps card of him making the bare-handed grab behind his head. That's my one Kevin Mitchell memory.

David Schoenfeld of ESPN.com has five players to be wary of in 2013. I think he Shields concerns are overblown, as he's really the least of the Royals' problems.
