The Red Sox bludgeoned the Cardinals in Game 1 of the World Series with some help from the Cardinals shoddy defense.

The game wasn't without some grist for the blogosphere though, both of the botched-call and possibly-doctored-baseball kind.

Of primary importance to Mets fans, Carlos Beltran robbed a home run and made it look resoundingly easy. He then left the game with a rib injury, so get your #BeltranisSoft jokes in while you can. Oops, too late. Considering he played a week after breaking his freakin' face, I imagine if he can go tonight, he will.
