New York Mets related news and links for October 29, 2013

LaTroy Hawkins assisted in getting an unruly passenger under control on a recent flight to South America. It made me laugh to learn that he was starting a dove hunting trip, but maybe that's what tipped the scales in his favor during the great animal name purge of 2013.

Many of the Mets staff spent yesterday helping the community in a different fashion, volunteering at the boys and girls club.

Around Baseball

The Red Sox won Game 5 of the World Series, and are now one game away from ending the 2013 season.
