Meet the Mets

The Arizona Fall League kicks off this week. The Mets contingent of prospects will be playing with the Scottsdale Scorpions this season. It's not a particularly noteworthy group of players, with Aderlin Rodriguez as the best prospect out of the group.

Reggie Jackson made a pretty incendiary accusation against the Mets organization in his autobiography.

Light a Mup (mup mup)

Carlos Beltran hit another postseason home run (ho hum) and drove in all of the Cardinals runs, but an eighth-innning rally put the Pirates up 2-1 in their best-of-five tilt.

In the night cap, the Dodgers chased Julio Tehran and early and then added on off Alex Wood to win a laugher against the Barves. LA will try to close out the series against Atlanta this evening. And yes, Freddy Garcia is still starting the now must-win game.

And the Rays are down 2-0 in their series with the Red Sox, but they aren't quite out of things yet.
