AAA - Las Vegas 51's (7-7)_______________________________________
SACRAMENTO 2, LAS VEGAS 3 (Box)
Omar Quintanilla mercifully knocked a base hit in the 9th inning to drive home Eric Campbell as the 51's completed their comeback and defeated Sacramento 3-2. Carlos Torres shined for Vegas, striking out 10 in five innings of work. As nice as this win is, the story of this game may be that Travis d'Arnaud was removed after taking a pitch off his ankle while behind the plate. This is a bit concerning given d'Arnaud's injury history. Let's hope this was just a precautionary move and that he'll be back out there tomorrow.
- CF Juan Lagares: 0-4
- 2B Wilmer Flores: 1-3, R, 2B, BB
- C Travis d'Arnaud: 0-2
- 1B Josh Satin:1-4, 2 K

AA - Binghamton Mets (7-6)_____________________________________
PORTLAND 1, BINGHAMTON 0 (Box)
The B-Mets lost a close game, with Portland edging them out 1-0. Aptly named Sea Dog starter Brandon Workman threw seven innings of shutout baseball, allowing fours hits, walking none, and striking out an impressive nine batters. Binghamton starter Jacob DeGrom, determined not to be outdone, was just as impressive, throwing eight innings, allowing three hits, one walk, and striking out eight. Unfortunately for DeGrom, one of the hits he gave up (the only extra-base hit in the entire game) was a Xander Bogaerts double to start off the top of the 4th. A groundout moved him over to third, and a sac fly scored him for the game's only run. Regardless, this was an impressive debut for DeGrom, who was promoted to replace another recently promoted - and promptly injured - prospect, Luis Mateo.
- CF Alonzo Harris: 1-4, K
- LF Darrell Ceciliani: 2-4, CS (1)
- 1B Allan Dykstra: 1-3, K

- LF Cory Vaughn: 0-3, 3 K
- RHP Jake DeGrom: 8 IP, 3 H, ER, BB, 8 K
Hi-A - St. Lucie Mets (9-4)________________________________________
CHARLOTTE 5, ST. LUCIE 2 (Box)
The first batter that Marcos Camarena faced doubled off of him, and that set the tone for the rest of the game. The Stone Crabs chained together six hits off of him, including the aforementioned Jake Hager double, scoring early and often. Camarena didn't help his cause much, walking three while striking out none. St. Lucie did their best to clar their way back, scoring twice in the bottom of the 7th. In the inning, Aderlin Rodriguez hit his second home run of the year and his second in as many days. Singles by Travis Taijeron and Albert Cordero - with a little help from a Jake Floethe wild pitch - scored another run. The two runs would not be enough to catch Charlotte to begin with, but Chasen Bradford allowed another Stone Crab insurance run in the top of the 9th, just for good measure.
- 2B T.J. Rivera: 0-3, 2 K, HBP
- SS Matt Reynolds: 1-4, K
- 3B Aderlin Rodriguez: 1-4, R, 2 K, RBI, HR (2)
- RF Travis Taijeron: 1-3, R
- C Albert Cordero: 2-3, RBI
- DH Cam Maron 1-4
- CF Gilbert Gomez: 0-3, 2 K
- RHP Marcos Camarena: 5 IP, 6 H, 4 ER, 3 BB, HR
- LHP Pedro Feliciano: 1 IP, 2 K
- REHAB ALERT Frank Francisco: 1 IP, K
Lo-A - Savannah Sand Gnats (7-6)__________________________________
SAVANNAH 8, GREENSBORO 1 (Box)
For the second straight day, Savannah's bats plated eight runs in a game. Unlike last night, when they lost in heartbreaking fashion, the Sand Gnats won in convincing fashion. The damage was primarily done in the top of the 3rd inning, when the Sand Gnats bats came alive for six runs, all with two outs. After Brandon Nimmo singled, Grasshopper starter Drew Steckenrider proceeded to walk the next three batters in a row, forcing in a run. Gregory Pron doubled, chasing Steckenrider out of the game, and Stefan Sabol and Eudy Pina contributed hits of their own. The inning ended with Jeff Reynolds grounding out - he began the inning by striking out. The offense would add another two runs in the 8th, but Greensboro was kept in check such that the additional runs were not needed. Matthew Bowman turned in a fine outing, pitching 5.1 innings of one-run ball, allowing four hits and a walk to five strikeouts.
- CF Brandon Nimmo: 2-5, R, K
- 1B Jayce Boyd: 1-3, R, BB, K E (1), HBP
- C Jeffrey Glenn: 1-3, 2 R, BB, RBI, E (1)
- LF Stefan Sabol: 1-4, R, K, RBI, SB (4)
- 3B Cole Frenzel: 0-4, R, BB, K, E (4)
- SS Phil Evans: 0-5, K
- RHP Matthew Bowman: 5.1 IP, 4 H, ER, BB, 5 K
Star of the Night
Jacob DeGrom turned in an excellent performance last night in his AA debut, allowing a run and a walk while striking out eight over a career high eight innings. He was the hard luck loser in the pitcher's duel that developed up in NYSEG Stadium, but that shouldn't stand in the way of him earning the Star of the Night.
Goat of the Night
Corey Vaughn gets the horns for his 0-3, 3 K performance.
