AAA - Las Vegas 51's (10-11)_______________________________________
TACOMA 8, LAS VEGAS 2 (Box)

Kirk Nieuwenhuis and Andrew Brown provided the offense with solo home runs in the first and fourth respectively, while Greg Peavey and Sean Henn doubled a three-run deficit in the ninth with aid from a Brian Bixler missed catch.

Hi-A - St. Lucie Mets (14-8)_________________________________
BRADENTON 5, ST. LUCIE 13 (Box)
St. Lucie pitchers allowed 10 hits and six walks, but winning ugly is fun at any level as our Florida State League heroes were able to overcome a poor start by Marcos Camarena with a six-run fifth to propel them to a 10-5 lead that would never be relinquished. Charley Thurber then brought the rain with three run bomb in the sixth to provide the Mets with a little eight-run insurance should the bullpen falter. It, in fact, did not, and the S-Mets were able to go home happy for the fourteenth time this young season.

- SS Matt Reynolds: 1-4, 2 R, BB, K (.276/.337/.368)

- RF Travis Taijeron: 0-3, R, BB, 2 K (.203/.325/.333)
- C Cam Maron: 2-4, 2 R, RBI, BB (.235/.262/.296)
- CF Gilbert Gomez: 1-3, R, 2 RBI (.254/.361/.268)

Lo-A - Savannah Sand Gnats (14-8)_____________________________
WEST VIRGINIA 0 , SAVANNAH 1 (Box)
Orlando Castro and Rainy Lara engaged in a classic South Atlantic League pitcher's duel last night at Grayson Park. Castro was brilliant, but Lara was "brillianter", as a Phillip Evans RBI fielder's choice in the fifth provided the only scoring for the night. Lara went 7.1 innings before conceding the final five outs to Bret Mitchell, who was able to strand his two inherited runners to end the eighth, and after a leadoff single in the ninth, strand that baserunner as well to end the game and obtain his second save of the season.
- CF Brandon Nimmo: 0-3, K (.354/.449/.476)
- 1B Jayce Boyd: 0-3 (.405/.490/.583)
- C Kevin Plawecki: 2-3 (.400/.457/.688)
- LF Stefan Sabol: 1-3, R, K (.159/.266/.232)
- SS Phil Evans: 1-3, RBI (.187/.253/.227)
- RHP Rainy Lara: 7.1 IP, 5 H, 0 BB, 9 K (24 IP, 1.88, 24 K, 3 BB, 21 H, 1 HR)
Star of the Night
Rainy Lara and Logan Verrett rock the stud pants tonight.
Goat of the Night
Eudy Pina went 0-for-3 with three strikeouts and Collin McHugh was bombed before the 51s could swing the stick.
