There were many Mets heroes tonight as the good guys won the game and the series against the hated Braves. David Wright hit two solo home runs off Braves starter Mike Minor. Andrew Brown cracked a pinch-hit solo home run in the fifth inning to tie the game 3-3. Josh Satin broke the tie with an RBI double in the seventh inning. Daniel Murphy made several smooth plays in the field. And the bullpen tossed 5.2 scoreless innings after Jon Niese left the game in the fourth inning with left shoulder discomfort.
Bobby Parnell pitched a one-two-three ninth inning to earn the save and clinch the Mets' fourth win in six games. It was a team effort, a fun game to watch. Get well soon, Jon Niese.
