AAA - Las Vegas 51s (42-38)__________________________________

LAS VEGAS 4, TACOMA 1 (Box)

Jacob deGrom's seven three-hit innings paved the way for another win over the Rainiers last night. Wilmer Flores propelled the 51s to a lead they would never relinquish with a two-run blast in the first inning. Rylan Sandoval added a solo shot of his own in the fourth, but all credit to deGrom and the Las Vegas pen for making the lead stand.

AA - Binghamton Mets (49-29)_____________________________________

GAME ONE
TRENTON 4, BINGHAMTON 2 (Box)

GAME TWO
TRENTON 3, BINGHAMTON 4 (Box)

Seven-inning doubleheaders are odd. Logan Verrett took the loss in game one after allowing a three-run home run in the first inning, although the B-Mets had home runs of their own from Mrs. Danny Muno and Josh Rodriguez.

The second game was much happier of a recap as Mark Cohoon pitched five solid innings to merit his fourth win of the season, and Jeff Walters pitched a perfect ninth to earn his fifteenth save of the year.

Hi-A - St. Lucie Mets (41-36)________________________________________

ST. LUCIE 2, FT. MYERS 12 (Box)

The Miracle are really, really good to begin with. Now with the recent promotion of uber-prospect Byron Buxton, they're scary good even without Miguel Sano. Alex Panteliodis started off the game with two scoreless innings and St. Lucie pushed two runs across in the top of the first to give him a little support, and then the wheels fell off as a 2-0 lead turned into an 8-2 deficit once Mr. Panteliodis' night was over.

Lo-A - Savannah Sand Gnats (47-31)__________________________________

ROME 6, SAVANNAH 2 (Box)

Steven Matz took the loss but he pitched eight good innings, so I ain't even mad. The Sand Gnats offense was lost against Braves 2012 first-rounder Lucas Sims, as he allowed one hit over six innings, one of two hits Savannah had on the night. They can't all be winners.

Short-A - Brooklyn Cyclones (5-7)_____________________________

HUDSON VALLEY 9, BROOKLYN 0 (Box)

Welp. Gavin Cecchini had three hits though! Yay!

R - Kingsport Mets (3-7)_____________________________

ELIZABETHTON 4, KINGSPORT 5 (Box)

Carlos Gomez pitched 6.2 innings of shutout ball before Edioglis Villasmil managed to allow four runs in his 0.2 inning relief appearance. But fear not, as the K-Mets put two on the board in the bottom of the eighth before scoring three more in the bottom of the ninth capped by a wild pitch to complete a highly improbable comeback last night in Tennessee.

R - GCL Mets (2-5)______________________________

GCL METS 4, GCL NATIONALS 5 (Box)

Ugh.

Star of the Night

Jacob deGrom, yo.

Goat of the Night

Alex Panteliodis, yikes.
