Meet the Mets

Matt Harvey tossed two scoreless innings with three strikeouts in his start and David Wright had a single in three plate appearances but the National League fell to the American League 3-0 in the 2013 All Star game at Citi Field. Fred Wilpon summed the night up as "electric" and "fabulous".

Matt Harvey is "tough as nails". Howard Megdal says there's no time like the present to appreciate how great Harvey and David Wright are. Seriously, don't take these guys for granted.

David Wright has had a long evolution from young up and coming star to team leader and captain.

A pair of ex-Met Carloses were in the building, as Carlos Beltran and Carlos Gomez both played on the National League squad. Beltran says that he could see himself going into the Hall of Fame in a Mets cap. Come back, Carlos! He also doesn't get why a certain sect of Mets fans dislike him. Meanwhile, Gomez has undergone a big transformation from raw talent to superstar.

Forbes released their sports team valuations and the Mets come in at #45 on the list.
