Final Score: Marlins 3, Mets 0 — Once again, no help in Miami for Matt Harvey

Harvey's third start in Miami was his best so far, but he still got no run support as the Mets flailed away with runners in scoring position.

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

Matt Harvey was as impressive as ever through five innings, but he got into trouble in the sixth, and a pair of RBI singles by Logan Morrison and Donovan Solano provided all the offense the Marlins would need.

New York's offense put on plenty of baserunners throughout the contest, but could never cash in when it counted. Rookie center fielder Jake Marisnick made a terrific catch in center field help get starter Tom Koehler shutout the Mets in the first six innings of the game.

Allowing five walks and five hits in six innings isn't a normal recipe for a shutout, but that's what worked for Koehler today. The Amazins didn't do any better against the Miami bullpen, and the result was New York being shut out for the first time since late May.
