When it comes to judging outings by starting pitchers, game score is pretty great. Created by Bill James, the metric gives every starting pitcher 50 points at the beginning of the game, and the pitcher can either increase or decrease that number based on his performance. Here's how that score can change.

Event Points
Out 1
Strikeout 1
Complete an inning after the 4th 2
Walk -1
Hit -2
Unearned Run -2
Earned Run -4

Game scores in the mid-60s and above and generally pretty good. Those above 85 are excellent. Anything that nears or exceeds 100 is typically pure dominance.

It's no secret that the Mets have a rich history of pitching, and the team has 21 starts with a game score of 94 or greater. Can you name the 11 pitchers who have pitched those games?
