SOUTH ATLANTIC LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES

GAME ONE: SAVANNAH 1, HAGERSTOWN 6

GAME TWO: SAVANNAH 6, HAGERSTOWN 2

GAME THREE

HAGERSTOWN 0, SAVANNAH 6 (Box)

Savannah sent their ace to the mound for game three Thursday night--Sally League Player of the Year, Gabriel Ynoa--and he did not disappoint tossing seven shutout innings to lead the Sand Gnats to a 6-0 win and a 2-1 series lead. Ynoa struck out five and walked one to put a cap on his--ahem--sterling season. He was so dominant that Hagerstown never batted with two men on base. The offensive star was Jeff Reynolds, who drove in a run on each of his three singles. Savannah sends Steven Matz to the hill Friday as they go for the championship clincher. I don't know about you, but I like our chances.
