Daisuke Matsuzaka goes to the mound this afternoon and he'll face off against Danny Salazar.

The Mets activated Frank Francisco from his season long disabled list stint yesterday.

Now that the 51's season has ended, the Mets added Aaron Harang and Greg Burke after last night's game and they plan to call up three more players in the coming days: Mike Baxter, Ruben Tejada, and catcher Juan Centeno.

David Wright is returning to New York but not to play games with the Mets. There's nobody in Port St. Lucie to pitch to him with the minor league season just about complete.

Daniel Convery has our Daily Farm Report from Saturday.

Around the NL East

Jonathan Papelbon blew another save but Freddie Galvis' home run won it for the Phillies in the bottom of the 9th, 6-5 over the Braves.

Tanner Roark's first start went well, as the Nationals beat the Marlins 9-2. Bryce Harper is headed back to DC to get his ailing hip checked out.

Around the Majors

Adam Wainwright shut down the Pirates and moved the Cardinals back into first place in the NL Central.

Melky Cabrera had a benign tumor removed from his spine last week. Yikes.

Derek Jeter left the Yankees' loss to the Red Sox yesterday with soreness in his surgically repaired ankle.

Chris Johnson and Justin Upton ganged up on the Phillie Phanatic.

The Pirates designated James McDonald for assignment yesterday. After a strong first half last year, McDonald's career has been derailed by injury and inconsistency but if healthy, he could be an interesting buy low for some team.
