Meet the Mets

Many of the NL East clubs including the Mets have made early splashes and there should be more to come.

The Mets have some notable prospects who will be available in the Rule 5 draft.

Around the NL East

The Marlins acquired righty Aaron Crow from the Royals for a pair of prospects. Miami is also interested in Red Sox first baseman Allen Craig for their vacant first base job.

Without a rotation spot, Ross Detwiler's agent suggested that the Nationals trade the lefty somewhere else.

Around the Majors

The Blue Jays acquired Josh Donaldson from the Athletics for Brett Lawrie and three prospects. Now the A's are rumored to be discussing a deal with the Braves for Justin Upton and Evan Gattis. Oakland designated Kyle Blanks for assignment after the deal. Seems like he could be a fit for the Mets.

Josh Reddick is confused by the Donaldson deal.

Jamie Moyer is out after just one year in the Phillies broadcast booth.

Yesterday At AA

Quinn Barry looked at five of the most overlooked prospects in the Mets system.
