The Mets opened the spring training schedule with a loss to the Washington Nationals. The first few innings went well, but a three-run lead turned into a one-run loss by the end of the game.
Pitching Summary
- Rafael Montero started the game and threw two perfect innings with two strikeouts and no walks.
- Jacob deGrom followed up with two perfect innings of his own with four strikeouts.
