WOR 710 radio has announced that Seth Everett will host their pre- and post-game Mets coverage. Mets fans may remember Everett from his work as a so-called baseball insider during the SNY pre-game show from 2006 to 2008 and as occasional host of Next Stop:Shea in 2005.

"I'm extremely honored to be joining WOR along with Howie and Josh on the New York Mets broadcast team," Everett said. "I'm a huge Mets fan, so this is going to be a thrill."

Hardly a carpetbagger, Everett, who lives in New Jersey and is apparently a big Devils fan, has been covering New York area sports since the early 2000s for ESPN 1050, WFAN 660, and Fox Sports Radio.

Everett is a graduate of S.I. Newhouse School at Syracuse, from which Mets beat writers Jared Diamond, Kristie Ackert, and Matt Ehalt are also alumni. He finds guilty pleasure in his love of comics and superheroes.
