Meet the Mets

Sandy Alderson doesn't want to put Ruben Tejada under a microscope yet.

Daniel Murphy is out and his shin injury appears to be more severe than just a scrape. Ike Davis and Lucas Duda are still not ready for games either.

Zack Wheeler is making his two older brothers proud as he establishes himself in the big leagues.

Mike Vorkunov has a Q&A with lefty John Lannan.

Around the Majors

Joel Sherman says that Carlos Beltran is unfairly judged after his stint with the Mets. Anybody who holds a grudge against him just doesn't get it.

The Houston Chronicle has a great piece on the proprietary database, nicknamed "Ground Control", that the Astros front office created.

It sounds like Ervin Santana is deciding between offers from the Orioles and Blue Jays but he's prepared to wait days to make a decision.

Jonathan Papelbon believes the Phillies will have a top 5 bullpen this year. Okay.
