Final Score: Mets 5, Dodgers 3 — Seesaw game swings Mets' way

The Mets won a back and forth affair on the strength of Jon Niese's pitching, some timely hitting (no, really), and an amazing catch from Eric Campbell, ending their three-game slide.

The Dodgers scratched out the game's first run on an Adrian Gonzalez sac fly in the top of the first. The Mets tied the score on an Eric Campbell sac fly in the bottom of the second, but were denied more by an amazing diving catch by Yasiel Puig. Jon Niese took matters into his own hands by belting an RBI double in the bottom of the fifth, then scored on an error by old friend Justin Turner. But the redhead giveth and the redhead taketh away, as Turner belted a game-tying two-run shot off of Niese in the top of the seventh. The Mets regained the lead in the bottom half with a two-out RBI single from Juan Lagares, tacked on a run in the eighth, and held on to win. Jeurys Familia earned the save, with an assist from Eric Campbell, who made an amazing diving catch in left to take an RBI away from Hanley Ramirez.
