Eric Campbell has persevered through a long trip through the minor leagues to get to where he is. Campell has performed a number of odd jobs and played a lot of positions.

Dave Hudgens is gone but the Mets' issues go beyond the hitting coach. The new hitting coach Lamar Johnson, meanwhile, is trying to provide a new set of eyes. Howard Megdal, meanwhile, is reporting that Jeff Wilpon overruled Sandy Alderson and forced him to fire his friend.

Noah Syndergaard's MRI came back clean, thankfully. Also, Travis d'Arnaud is back on his way to New York and should be activated today.

The absence of Dillon Gee could be extended further, as the righty is headed down to Florida and will take things slow.

The Phillies lost to the Rockies 6-2 but the most important news was that Ben Revere finally hit a home run! The Braves bullpen blew another lead as they lost 6-3. Finally, the Nationals and Marlins were postponed due to rain.

Around the Majors

Here's an odd one: the Oakland A's had one hit in their game against the Rays and won 3-2.

The Royals got some good news on Yordano Ventura's elbow.

Cuban pitcher Miguel Alfredo Gonzalez continues to struggle with injuries.
