The Mets lost to the Phillies in fourteen innings. Long after Rafael Montero departed from a poor start, the Phillies walked off the Mets thanks in large part to Chris Young dropping a routine fly ball in right field to begin the bottom of the fourteenth.
The Mets once led the game 3-0, and after blowing that lead, they got back on top at 5-4. But the Phillies tied the game at five, and neither team scored until Reid Brignac’s walk-off single with the bases loaded in the fourteenth. If you missed the game, consider yourself lucky.
