- RF Kyle Johnson: 3-5, R, 2B, 3B, 3 RBI; a homer shy of the cycle. He's been pretty good since coming over from Anaheim in exchange for Collin Cowgill. It's going to be interesting to see what happens in the Vegas outfield between now and the beginning of next season.

- RHP Tyler Pill: 6.2 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 6 K; 2-3, 2 R; I think Pill is the same guy who homered and tossed a near shutout the other day. "But can he play shortstop?" is my question.

Short-A - Brooklyn Cyclones (11-4)__________________________________
ABERDEEN 0, BROOKLYN 2 (Box)
Marcos Molina got the start for the Cyclones Friday night, the Mets' number 10 prospect per Baseball Prospectus, and he did not disappoint, giving up zero runs in six innings while striking out eight, including seven in the first two innings. I'm impressed, as was our own Jeffrey Paternostro, who was in attendance:
Fastball is 92-94, explosive and can run it. Already has feel for a breaking ball that is one of the best I have seen in the Penn.
— Jeffrey Paternostro (@jeffpaternostro) June 27, 2014
Molina started throwing 92-93 Mejia cutters in the second. Never seen a 19-year-old with feel for two breaking balls either. This is stupid.
— Jeffrey Paternostro (@jeffpaternostro) June 27, 2014
Molina just threw three straight offspeed pitches. Spotted two for strikes, tapper back to the mound on the third. Dude is NINETEEN.

He's also already written him up, so go check that out as well.
- CF Tucker Tharp: 0-4, K
- SS Amed Rosario: 1-4, 2B
- LF Michael Katz: 1-3, R, BB, K
- RF Michael Bernal: 0-3, 2 K
- 3B Jhoan Urena: 1-4, 2 K
- RHP Marcos Molina: 6 IP, 2 H. 0 R, BB, 8 K

KINGSPORT 3, PRINCETON 9 (Box)
- DH Eudor Garcia: 0-3, BB
- CF Oswaldo Caraballo: 0-3
- 3B Pedro Perez: 1-4
- 1B Zach Mathieu: 0-4, K
- LF Vicente Lupo: 1-3, R
- RF Wuilmer Becerra: 1-3, R, K
- 2B Branden Kaupe: 0-4, 2 K
- LHP Yoan Gonzalez: 5 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, K
Rookie - GCL Mets (3-4)__________________________________
GCL CARDINALS 7, GCL METS 3 (Box)
- CF John Mora: 2-3, RBI, BB
- LF Emmanuel Zabala: 2-4, R
- SS Alfredo Reyes: 2-4, R, K
- C Darryl Knight: 1-3, 3B, K
- 2B Milton Ramos: 1-4
- RHP Logan Taylor: 6 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 7 K; Very excited to see Logan Taylor making his way back from Tommy John surgery (I believe). He was dominating Savannah when he sustained his injury, so much so that he was profiled favorably in this piece at Fangraphs. The return of Taylor and Cory Mazzoni is a nice boost for the system.
Star of the Night
Marcos Molina. You gotta love it when a guy lives up to the expectations. It's only two starts, SSS, yeah, yeah, I know. I don't care, I'm excited.
Goat of the Night
I don't know. Kaupe? Hate to pick on short-season guys.
