SNY Mets analyst Bob Ojeda will not return for 2015 season

Former Mets pitcher Nelson Figueroa will reportedly replace Bobby O, but no official announcement has been made yet.

While SportsNet New York's Mets game coverage has consistently featured the power trio of Gary Cohen, Ron Darling, and Keith Hernandez, the names and faces around them have been consistently shuffled. There's been plenty of turnover among the network's set of pregame and postgame hosts and analysts, with former contributors Lee Mazzilli and Bobby Valentine entering and exiting in recent years.

Another personnel change happened today, as SNY announced that Bob Ojeda, part of the 1986 World Series team, would not return to the network in 2015. No official replacement has been named, but one name that has come up is that of former Mets pitcher Nelson Figueroa.

Figueroa pitched for the Mets in 2008 and 2009 before stints with the Phillies and Astros and a couple of seasons in Taiwan. As for Ojeda, he is the second member of the network's Mets broadcast team to depart after the 2014 season. Longtime game reporter Kevin Burkhardt left to focus full-time on his expanded role with Fox Sports after joining SNY in the 2007 season.
