After a pair of successful AARGHs during the Mets' successful NLDS against the Dodgers, we figured it'd make sense to keep the meet-ups going in the NLCS. We landed on Blarney Rock at 137 W 33rd Street in Manhattan as a central spot, and we've had a great time there both times out.
So for the NLCS, every game is an AARGH, home or away. Not everyone will be able to make every one, presumably, but come on out to Blarney Rock—which has had the game sound on and will continue to do so during the Mets' playoff run—to watch the Mets with your fellow Amazin' Avenue writers, commenters, and lurkers.
If you're on the fence, the most recent AARGH featured chants such as:
- War-then sli-der
- TRAID TRAID TRAID
- Q-O, Q-O, Q-O (a chant for Daniel Murphy)
- Don-nie base-ball
Games 1 and 2 are set for 8:07 PM EDT tonight and tomorrow night. Check back here or in the comments for any updates each night. And if you're planning on joining, feel free to let us know in the comments here.
