With the Mets leading the Cubs 3-0 in the top of the second, Noah Syndergaard got ahead of Chris Coghlan 0-2. Coghlan turned on a waist-high 97 MPH heater and sent it screaming toward the right field wall. Curtis Granderson, who isn't especially well regarded for his defensive ability, tracked the ball to the wall, timed his leap, and robbed Coghlan of what would probably have been a home run.
It wasn't quite Endy Chavez-esque, but it was a brilliant play nonetheless.
