The Mets' surge to the World Series over the past weeks has thrust the team's players right into the New York spotlight and on Friday, that included an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. David Wright, Jacob deGrom, Matt Harvey, and Wilmer Flores joined Kimmel for a few minutes during his final show in Brooklyn to discuss the club's 2015 season, playoff run, and the upcoming World Series.
Among the topics brought up were Wright's back injury during the regular season and how he dealt with watching the team's success from afar, Flores' oft-mentioned emotions on the field in July, how they should retaliate against Chase Utley, and the sexy Jacob deGrom Halloween costume that is actually being sold online. Kimmel also brought up the first pitch he threw before Game 2 of the NLCS and asked about whether he'll receive a World Series ring for his efforts.
Hey, it was probably a better pitch than a few Eric O'Flaherty threw for the Mets, am I right or am I right?
