The Los Angeles Dodgers have announced the team's starters for the first three games of the NLDS against the Mets. The Dodgers will send out Clayton Kershaw for Game 1, Zack Greinke in Game 2, and Brett Anderson for Game 3 in the best-of-five series, which begins Friday at 9:45 PM ET.
The pitching matchups for the first three games will officially be:
Game 1 (Friday): Jacob deGrom (14-8, 2.54 ERA in regular season) vs. Clayton Kershaw (16-7, 2.13) in Los Angeles.
Game 2 (Saturday): Noah Syndergaard (9-7, 3.24) vs. Zack Greinke (19-3, 1.66 in Los Angeles.
Game 3 (Monday): Brett Anderson (10-9, 3.69) vs. Matt Harvey (13-8, 2.71) in New York.
The pitching probables for both teams beyond Game 3 remain uncertain. There have been discussions that both teams could decide to bring their Game 1 starters back for Game 4 on short rest, depending on where the teams stand after three games.
Kershaw and Greinke have had superb seasons for the Dodgers this year, with both expected to be in the running for the National League Cy Young Award.
