On this date in 1994, the Mets traded Jeromy Burnitz and Joe Roa for Dave Mlicki, Jerry DiPoto, Paul Byrd, and Jesus Azuaje. Burnitz would return to the Mets in 2002 in a deal that sent Lenny Harris, Alex Ochoa, and Glendon Rusch to the Brewers.
