The Tigers are in serious talks with potentially-former Nationals pitcher Jordan Zimmermann, one of several very good starting pitchers on the market at the moment.

The Red Sox are now looking to trade Hanley Ramirez, whose 2015 season was the worst single season of his major league career. Ramirez is guaranteed a $22 million salary in each of the 2016, 2017, and 2018 seasons. The soon-to-be 32-year-old also has a $22 million vesting option for 2019 if he makes 1,050 plate appearances in 2017-18 and passes a physical after the '18 season, per Cot's.
