Three years ago today, the New York Mets lost one of its favorite sons as former catcher Gary Carter lost his hard fought battle with brain cancer at the age of 57. Carter will forever be remembered for his infectious enthusiasm, and for being the two-out catalyst in the Mets comeback in Game 6 of the 1986 World Series. We Miss Ya Kid.
