Meet the Mets
Yesterday was Matt Harvey's 26th birthday but it was also Harvey Day and he looked great again over 4.1 innings. The Mets ultimately lost to the Cardinals 5-4. It appears the Mets picked a perfect time to pitch Matt Harvey to their fans.
It's looking more and more likely that Daniel Murphy will hit the disabled list to open the season. It appears the Mets are well equipped to let Murphy walk at the end of the year or maybe even trade him in July. There is good news on Vic Black who threw off a mound today! Also, Bobby Parnell looks like he'll be ready to be activated off the DL in mid-April.
Alex Castellanos and Chasen Bradford were reassigned to minor league camp this morning. Anthony DiComo did his best to project the Mets Opening Day roster as of today.
