Runs galore as the Mets organization completed a 5-0 sweep of all their opponents on Thursday.

Triple-A - Las Vegas 51s (4-4)_______________________________________

The 51s used a three-run home run by Matt Reynolds in the sixth inning to propel them to victory over the Sacramento River Cats. Alex Castellanos would add another deep shot in the eighth. Castellanos (.346/.433/.731) has successfully recorded a hit in all 8 games this season along with 5 extra-base hits. He is continuing the hot-streak that began while he was with El Paso last year when batted 17-for-39 (.435) over the final 3 weeks of that season. Darin Gorski pitched a solid 5 innings to score his second win of the year. Hansel Robles was effective in relief, retiring 5 batters with 4 strikeouts, and allowing just one hit. Danny Muno was pulled from the game after two plate appearances as he received his first call-up to New York.

Gavin Cecchini and Brandon Nimmo both added a pair of hits. Each had one single and one double. Rainy Lara tossed an uneven 5 innings, but his teammates helped him secure his second win of the year.

The Mets jumped on the Manatees right after the opening bell, scoring five runs in the opening frame. Dominic Smith shook off his cold start to the season by tallying three singles. Last year’s first round draft pick Michael Conforto added a single and a double as he drove in 3 more runs. He leads the Florida State League with 11 RBIs. Smoking-hot leadoff man Champ Stuart scored four times and stole a pair of bases.

Bobby Parnell made his second rehab appearance, coming in to mop up the 9th inning. He allowed a couple of extra-base hits as he got more Tommy John rehab work in. Vic Black pitched a clean 8th inning in his rehab assignment.

Low-A - Savannah Sand Gnats (3-4)__________________________________

The fourth piece of the R.A. Dickey trade, outfielder Wuilmer Becerra, turned in the finest performance of his full-season debut as he went 2-for-4 with a 2-run blast that resulted in Sand Gnats’ broadcaster Toby Hyde tweeting:"The boxscore will accurately report that Wuilmer Becerra homered for Savannah. It will not capture how hard he hit the ball: it was smoked." Becerra also added his third stolen base of the year. Stefan Sabol and Pedro Perez also added home runs. Starting pitcher Corey Oswalt dealt with some trouble in the second inning but was otherwise solid in his second start of the year.
