Triple-A - Las Vegas 51s (6-6)_______________________________________

FRESNO 8, LAS VEGAS 4 (Box)

It's been quite the struggle for Matt Bowman in the early goings of the season and it didn't get any easier last night as he allowed six runs on twelve (!) hits in just four innings of work. That deficit proved too much to overcome even despite the heroic efforts of Dilson Herrera, who had three hits including his first triple-A home run.

Double-A - Binghamton Mets (7-5)_____________________________________

BINGHAMTON 4, ERIE 3 (Box)

Seth Lugo's second straight strong outing propelled the B-Mets to a series opening win over Erie Monday night. Lugo struck out seven and walked one over five and two-thirds innings, upping his season line to 11.2 IP, 10 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, and 13 K. Brandon Nimmo carried the load offensively with three hits, including the game-winning RBI on a two run single in the fifth. Jon Velasquez made things interesting in the ninth before closing things out to earn in his third save of the season.

Advanced-A - St. Lucie Mets (6-5)_____________________________________

JUPITER, ST. LUCIE PPD (RAIN)

Low-A - Savannah Sand Gnats (4-6)__________________________________

SAVANNAH 6, ROME 5 (Box)

The Sand Gnats rallied for two runs in the bottom of the eighth to steal a one-run victory from the Rome Braves. It wasn't the most amazing rally, consisting of a run scored on a wild pitch and then a ground out. It also included a sacrifice bunt by Wuilmer Becerra which is probably not the best use of your number three hitter. Regardless, it all worked out and Savannah will take them any way way they can get him in what I suspect will be a long season for the Gnats.
