Is it too early for a magic number watch? The Mets came back from a late 2-1 deficit to win their tenth game in a row. That's TEN in a row. Bank those wins now, they count as much as wins in September.
Lucas Duda's RBI single in the eighth inning gave the Mets a 3-2 lead one inning after Wilmer Flores tied the game with a solo home run. Jeurys Familia pitched a stress-free, one-two-three ninth inning to close it out. This is fun.
Flores drove in the Mets' first run with an RBI single and went 2-for-4 on the night. Dillon Gee pitched a serviceable seven innings, allowing two runs on eight hits. Oh, and Gee had some support from Juan Lagares, who made this Willie Mays-esque catch to open the seventh inning:
