Triple-A - Las Vegas 51's (11-8)_______________________________________

LAS VEGAS 8, ALBUQUERQUE 0 (Box) GAME ONE / 7 innings

After two middling outings to start the year, Noah Syndergaard brought the hammer down in start number three. He struck out nine and walked none in seven shutout innings. It was probably the best triple-A outing of his career, I certainly can't remember one better. He had his fastball sitting 96-97 most of the night and hit 98 on multiple occasions. He started working in his off-speed pitches as they game wore on, even striking out a batter in the seventh on three straight curves that included two swings and misses. There were 16 (!) swings and misses in all. I was beginning to think the forearm tightness was more serious than initially reported, especially after Syndergaard sat 93-94 in his first start, but he put those fears to bed tonight. Between Thor and Matz vying for the next available rotation spot, the Vegas arms race is on.

LAS VEGAS 3, ALBUQUERQUE 2 (Box) GAME TWO / 7 innings

Double-A - Binghamton Mets (9-8)_____________________________________

BINGHAMTON, PORTLAND (Suspended in second inning)

Advanced-A - St. Lucie Mets (10-9)_____________________________________

ST. LUCIE 7, JUPITER 1 (Box)

A strong outing from Robert Gsellman and a big night from Maikis De La Cruz helped lead St. Lucie to victory Monday night. The win came despite an off night from the previously scorching hot Michael Conforto, who has been on a tear to start this season. Jeff McNeil continued his own quietly good start to the season, adding two singles and a walk.

Low-A - Savannah Sand Gnats (6-11)__________________________________
