The Mets beat the Orioles 3-2 at Citi Field this evening. Bartolo Colon was outstanding, as he gave up just one run in seven-and-two-thirds innings. In the fourth inning—for the first time since Friday night—the Mets scored a run. Then they scored two more. And when Colon was done, Carlos Torres retired the only batter he faced, and Jeurys Familia gave up a solo home run to Chris Davis to begin the ninth but retired the next three hitters in order to secure the victory.
