Triple-A - Las Vegas 51s (29-23)_______________________________________

NASHVILLE 5, LAS VEGAS 1 (Box)

The 51s' offense was nearly non-existent again as they fell 5-1 to Nashville for their sixth consecutive loss. The 51s managed just three runs over their four games in Nashville. Matt Reynolds provided the only offensive highlight of the day with an eighth inning RBI double that brought home Cory Vaughn. Tyler Pill suffered the loss after yielding five runs on nine hits in seven innings of work.

Double-A - Binghamton Mets (26-24)_____________________________________

No game scheduled.

Advanced-A - St. Lucie Mets (26-25)_____________________________________

ST. LUCIE 5, FORT MYERS 1 (Box)

L.J. Mazzilli made his season debut a successful one with a home run and two RBI to lead St. Lucie to a 5-1 win over Fort Myers. Mazzilli had been serving a 50-game suspension for a second positive test for drug abuse. His two-run home run would be all the support starter Logan Taylor would need.

Taylor tossed scoreless ball for seven innings, allowing just three hits and striking out four, to earn his first win of the season. First baseman Dominic Smith, recently named Florida State League player of the week, continued his hot hitting with two more doubles, extending his hitting streak to 14 games.

  • 2B L.J. Mazzilli: 2-4, R, HR, 2 RBI, 2 K
  • SS Amed Rosario: 0-4, 2 K
  • 1B Dom Smith: 2-4, 2 2B, K
  • DH Matt Oberste: 1-3, BB, 2 K
  • CF Champ Stuart: 2-4, R, K
  • 3B Jeff McNeil: 1-5, R, 3B
  • RHP Logan Taylor: 7 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 3 BB, 4 K

Low-A - Savannah Sand Gnats (24-27)__________________________________

ASHEVILLE 5, SAVANNAH 3 (Box)

Sand Gnats starter Brad Wieck was looking to continue his recent success on the mound, but Asheville's Max White had other plans. Wieck won his previous two starts after allowing just one run over 13.1 innings, while racking up 17 strikeouts in the process. White got to the big Savannah lefty in the third inning by ripping a two-run triple and would knock Wieck out of the game with one out in the sixth when he cracked a solo home run.

  • RF Wuilmer Becerra: 1-4, 2B, RBI, K
  • 3B Eudor Garcia: 1-4, R, 2B, RBI
