The 51's bats exploded for 11 runs, led by two three run home runs from Kirk Nieuwenhuis. Matt Bowman pitched well until the eight inning, when he allowed three runs, and the bullpen was able to finish off the game. Danny Muno, Johnny Monell, Alex Catellanos, Kirk, and Brandon Allen all had multi hit games.

NEW HAMPSHIRE 3, BINGHAMTON 2 (Box)

Binghamton wasted a solid start from Robert Gsellman, losing to New Hampshire by a run. Thankfully, division leader New Britain also lost, meaning Binghamton is still only two games out of first. Brandon Nimmo contributed a single in his second game back with Binghamton, while Michael Conforto tripled and singled. On the other end of the spectrum, Gavin Cecchini continued his slump, going hitless in four at bats.

Savannah again kept pace with the Greenville Drive, beating Augusta to maintain a share of first place. Luis Guillorme, Eudor Garcia, and Vincente Lupo each had two RBI's, and Corey Oswalt delivered six-and-a-third innings of one run ball. The bullpen almost blew the lead, allowing three runs in the 8th, but David Roseboom was able to lock down the save.

Michael Bernal drove in Emmanuel Zabala with the winning run, and Gaither Bumgardner locked down the save to bring the marathon affair to a close. Number one starter Tyler Badamo had a strong six inning start to his season, while 2015 draft pick Vincent Siena had a hit and a walk.
