Final Score: Brewers 3, Mets 2—Six straight losses

The Mets lost their sixth consecutive game.

Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

The Mets lost to the Brewers in the first game of a three-game series and have now lost six straight games. Jon Niese gave up just two runs in six innings, the first of which scored in the first inning. But the Mets tied the game on a Curtis Granderson home run in the third and took the lead on a sacrifice fly by Kevin Plawecki in the fourth.

But Niese gave up that second run on a sacrifice fly in the sixth, and the Brewers re-took the lead in the seventh when Carlos Gomez scored from first thanks to the combination of an Adam Lind double and an error by Michael Cuddyer.
