The third baseman is week to week but that hasn't stopped fans from voting for him for the All-Star game. Sandy Alderson is looking for hitting help on the trade market but not looking to replace Wright. Prior to Tuesday's game, Terry Collins said he doesn't expect the infield alignment to change.

Noah Syndergaard struggled last night but the standing ovation at the end of his start against the Phillies meant a lot. Speaking of young pitchers, Steven Matz is ready for the majors but there's no spot for him. The organization is trying to manage his present versus future.

Commissioner Rob Manfred cited Bartolo Colon at bats as a reason why pitchers should continue to hit. To be honest, I'd gladly sacrifice the Colon at bats in order to abolish all pitcher at bats. Sue me.

Ron Darling has a pretty nice apartment in New York City's Upper East Side.

Around the NL East

Dee Gordon is overrated, underrated, and off to a great start.

Good lord, Joey Gallo. Welcome to the big leagues.

Rob Manfred expects that MLB teams will go to Cuba in spring training beginning next year.

Giants' starter Jake Peavy has a nice house with a bowling alley.

This Date In Mets History

The Mets drafted this guy named Strawberry. He was pretty good, I think.
