Double-A - Binghamton Mets (38-37)_____________________________________
AKRON 1, BINGHAMTON 0 (Box)
Michael Fulmer was dominant but the B-Mets bats could never get going and they lost 1-0. Fulmer was very impressive, featuring what appeared to be a low to mid-90s fastball, a high 80s changeup, and a breaking ball that generated a bunch of swinging strikes. I say "breaking ball" because I really couldn't tell if it was a curve or a slider, but I'm leaning curve (someone will clear this up for me in the comments, I'm sure). The changeup was an exciting pitch, featuring late break that threw hitters off. And while I didn't have a reading on the fastball, it bore down on hitters up in the zone and they just could not catch up with it. I was really impressed with Fulmer's outing and I'm starting to get excited about him.
