Mets Daily Prospect Report, 6/7/15: Vegas snaps 10-game skid; Garcia & Becerra drive in four each in Savannah big win

It was a big night on offense for Savannah's Wuilmer Becerra and Eudor Garcia. Las Vegas broke out on offense to snap their 10-game losing streak. Robert Gsellman was much improved in his second Binghamton start, while two very familiar names that should be back in New York very soon produced St. Lucie's only run of the day.

Triple-A - Las Vegas 51s (30-27)_______________________________________

LAS VEGAS 9, EL PASO  (Box)

Las Vegas snapped a 10-game losing streak win a 9-4 win over El Paso Saturday night. Alex Castellanos hit a grand slam in the sixth inning to break open the game. Johnny Monell added three RBI and Wilfredo Tovar hit a solo shot helping starter Tyler Pill pick up the win. Pill allowed just one run on four hits and three walks over six solid innings to nab his second win of the season. Vic Black continued his rehab with a perfect ninth inning to secure the victory.

Robert Gsellman fared much better in his second Double-A start, but still ended up on the wrong end of the decision as Binghamton's bats managed just four singles while getting shut out by three Reading pitchers. Gsellman was hit hard in his first start, permitting six runs while lasting just four innings. This time around he gave up just two earned runs on five hits over six innings. The rehabbing Bobby Parnell came on to pitch the ninth and allowed a solo home run to Cam Perkins.

St. Lucie scored first, thanks to rehabbing Mets Dilson Herrera and Travis d'Arnaud, but Palm Beach pitching stymied St. Lucie the rest of the way in a 7-1 win. Herrera knocked a ground-rule double in the first and scored on d'Arnaud's RBI single. d'Arnaud finished the day with three hits and was behind the plate the entire game.

Wuilmer Becerra and Eudor Garcia had huge days at the plate in Savannah's 10-6 victory over Greenville. Becerra had a pair of two-run doubles and Garcia added a two-run double and a two-run triple.
