A Travis Taijeron ninth inning home run tied up the game and allowed the 51s to win it in 10. Travis d'Arnaud and Dilson Herrera each collected a double as they get ready for their return to the varsity later this week.

Double-A - Binghamton Mets (27-29)_____________________________________

Advanced-A - St. Lucie Mets (29-28)_____________________________________

ST. LUCIE 6, DAYTONA 4 (Box)

The Dominic Smith hit his second home run of the season last night to help lead St. Lucie to a 6-4 win Monday night. Since the arbitrary beginning point of May 12th Smith has hit .340/.377/.550, and that does not include last night. The reports have not yet improved from those who have seen Smith, but these results leave me believing there could be something special here if everything falls into place.

  • 1B Dominic Smith: 2-4, R, HR, 2 RBI, K
  • 3B Jeff McNeil: 0-4, BB
  • SS Amed Rosario: 1-4, R, SB; He's at .272/.313/.373 through Sunday. That's pretty good considering his age and level of competition, which seems like what we've been saying for each of the past two seasons with him.
  • 2B Philip Evans: 2-4, R, 3B, RBI, 2 K
  • RHP Robert Whalen: 6 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 3 ER, BB, 4 K

Low-A - Savannah Sand Gnats (30-27)__________________________________
