Triple-A - Las Vegas 51's (53-38)_______________________________________

NO GAME (ALL-STAR BREAK)

Double-A - Binghamton Mets (47-42)_____________________________________

BINGHAMTON 7, PORTLAND 2 (Box)

  • SS Gavin Cecchini: 1-4, 2 R, 2B, BB, K
  • 2B L.J. Mazzilli: 1-5, R, 2B, 2 RBI
  • 1B Aderlin Rodriguez: 2-5, R, 2B, RBI
  • CF Gilbert Gomez: 1-2, R, 2 BB
  • RHP Gabriel Ynoa: 7 IP, 4 H, R, ER, 0 BB, 5 K; Ynoa got hot the second I jumped off the bandwagon. He hasn't issued a walk and has gone at least seven innings in each of his last four starts. He's still not missing bats like I want him to but the progress is undeniable.

Advanced-A - St. Lucie Mets (46-43 /11-8)_____________________________________

ST. LUCIE 5, LAKELAND 3 (Box)

  • 2B Jeff McNeil: 2-5, R, 2B, 3B, 2 RBI
  • CF Champ Stuart: 0-3, R, BB, 2 K
  • RF Victor Cruzado: 1-5, R, 2B, K
  • DH Matt Oberste: 2-4, RBI, K
  • 1B Dominic Smith: 0-4
  • SS Amed Rosario: 3-4, R, 2B, 3B; Rosario now has a four hit game and a three hit game since returning from a minor wrist issue. I'm generally happy with the way Rosario has held his own in the FSL as a 19-year-old but I am surprised that he is not hitting for more power. I get that he has a slight build but he has a really quick bat and ran into a few homers as a 17-year-old so I was hoping for a bit more in that department. He obviously still has plenty of time to develop it.
  • RHP Casey Meisner: 6 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 3 K

Low-A - Savannah Sand Gnats (45-42 / 6-11)__________________________________

NO GAME (SCHEDULE)

SS-A - Brooklyn Cyclones (15-8)_______________________________________

ABERDEEN 2 BROOKLYN 0 (Box)

The Cyclones wasted a solid effort from Gaby Almonte during a rare day game for our favorite Brooklyn squadron. The Ironbirds (no Yard Goats, that) had six pitchers limit the 'clones to just four hits and zero runs. All is well for Brooklyn though as they still sit atop the Penn League's McNamara division.

Rookie - Kingsport Mets (11-9)__________________________

POSTPONED (RAIN)

Rookie - GCL Mets (9-10)__________________________

GCL CARDINALS 2, GCL METS 1 (Box)
