David Wright visited the Mets in LA yesterday and he was pretty upbeat. Wright's status is hanging over the team.

Michael Cuddyer's knee seems to be better as the outfielder pinch hit last night and hopes to play today. The news isn't so great on Travis d'Arnaud, who hasn't started baseball activities.

Terry Collins' job is safe, says Sandy Alderson. The Mets' GM says the front office has discussed promoting Michael Conforto but will not do so in the near future. Instead, the Mets are said to be willing to overpay for Ben Zobrist, who isn't available at the moment.

There was a health scare on Thursday evening, as the Mets' plane was diverted to Detroit due to a medical issue with WOR broadcaster Howie Rose.

The odds of the Mets beating Kenley Jansen last night were quite low to start and even lower given the first three batters all got to 0-2 counts.

Jack Leathersich is on the Triple-A disabled list after Wally Backman rode him for 57 pitches a few days ago. Yikes.

The Marlins beat the Cubs 2-1.

The Braves beat the Phillies also by a score of 2-1.

Guess what? The Nationals defeated the Giants 2-1, too.

Alex Rodriguez and the Yankees resolved their home run bonus dispute, as the two sides will donate $3.5 million to charity. He also received his 3,000th hit ball.

It's been quite a fall for Rangers' reliever Neftali Feliz, who was DFA'd last night. Similarly, the Tigers dropped Joba Chamberlain and Tom Gorzelanny.

Grant Brisbee created the only correct rosters for the All-Star game. Do you agree?

Brewers' bullpen catcher Marcus Hanel set a Citizen's Bank Park record by eating 23 cheesesteaks, breaking the mark set by Mets' bullpen catcher Eric Langill.
